Library Procedures:

  1. Check in at the desk upon arrival (for check out, junior/senior priv. and study hall)

  2. Browse, use the Chromebook or ask for help to locate a book

  3. Check out materials at the circulation desk

    1. Materials are available for 2 weeks at a time

    2. Fines incurred for late/lost books

    3. .05 per day late

    4. Book cost for missing or damaged

  4. Books can be renewed via email: (kelly.tibbetts@gorhamschools.org)

Goals for the Library:

  1. Promote the discovery of knowledge through inquiry and collaboration.

  2. Create comfortable and inviting library spaces that support the reading, research, and learning needs of all students and staff. 

  3. Manage and develop physical and digital resources that support the evolving curricular and research needs of our school community. 

  4. Improve accessibility, awareness, and use of library staff and services to facilitate knowledge creations.

Goals for our students:

  • Inquire, think critically, and gain knowledge.

  • Draw conclusions, make informed decisions, apply knowledge to new situations, and create new knowledge. 

  • Share knowledge and participate ethically and productively as members of our democratic society.

  • Pursue personal and aesthetic growth.
