Sharing some great news for our band students at GHS. Gavin Monkiewicz (Lead Trumpet), Nicolas Andrade (Guitar) and Dash Coolong (Drumset) were all accepted into the Maine Music Educators Association Jazz All State Festival! If you see them, please congratulate them.
For context, only 5 guitar, 5 drumset and 11 trumpet players are accepted into the festival from all of Maine. We have some of the best jazz musicians in the state right here in Gorham and it is a testament to their hard work and dedication!

Congratulations to our boys cross country team who raced boldly on a tough cross country course at Cony on Saturday! They placed 4th in Class A and just missed out by one spot as a qualifier for the New England XC Championships as a team!
Individually, big shout-out to Owen Cummings for placing 13th, Harvey Crider for placing 16th and Harry Crider for placing 24th! Also, of note, Owen qualified as an individual to compete next weekend at the New England XC Championships in Thetford, Vermont!

Congratulations to Winni Moreland who was named Student of the Quarter in her Automotive Collision program at PATHS!
Here is what your teacher said about her:
This young lady manages her academics at her High School and PATHS very successfully, is a student athlete at G.H.S. and also is working daily in an Internship at Moody's Collision Center in Gorham. She is also very kind, and considerate, and will always look to help with whatever is needed and looks to complete all work to the highest standards. She will move into full employment with Moody's upon graduation and will have a promising career in the Auto Collision Field. You're doing amazing!
