Please join us in celebrating seventeen GHS students in grades 9–12 who represented our school this year by participating in Le Grand Concours, the prestigious National French Contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French!

This rigorous nationwide competition challenges students on their listening, reading, grammar, and cultural knowledge.

We congratulate all participating students for their impressive results, dedication, and willingness to push their academic boundaries. Their hard work reflects a true commitment to language learning and a growing appreciation for the rich diversity of Francophone cultures around the world. 🌍✨

We are incredibly proud of these students for their enthusiasm, perseverance, and outstanding academic achievement! Félicitations! 🎉👏

From our French 4 teacher, Ms. Shvets: "Their very last high school class was French 4. They received their French 4 'diplomas', made time capsules, and created a poster with their handprints because they know I am moving to another classroom. Tyler even wore a French team jersey ! What a great class. Just wanted to share with you."

We are thrilled to announce that Gorham High School Principal Brian Jandreau was honored last night as the 2026 Maine Music Educators Association (MMEA) Outstanding Administrator! 🎶

This award recognizes Brian’s decade-long commitment to championing a well-rounded music program in Gorham. From restructuring ensembles to increase student access to — most memorably — taking the stage as the Narrator in Into the Woods, Brian’s leadership is rooted in his own history as a student musician and his belief that the arts are vital to student success.

While this award recognizes an administrator, it is a testament to the vibrant culture of our entire music department. We are proud to have a leader who works hand-in-hand with our talented educators and passionate students to keep the arts thriving in our schools.

Please join us in congratulating Principal Jandreau on this prestigious honor! 🏆

Transforming Spaces: The Courtyard Project Comes to Life!
We are thrilled to share the incredible progress of our "Courtyard Rehab"—a project that has transformed our outdoor space into a vibrant area for learning and reflection. This project is a true testament to the power of collaboration between our students, staff, and the local community.

A massive thank you to the many hands that made this happen:

Miracle Fernandes: The driving force and original inspiration behind this entire vision.

Ms. Tibbetts & Russell: For leading the charge and working alongside students to create beautiful custom signage for our new flora.

Kelly & Rebecca: For providing the essential tools, expert guidance, and beautiful plants donated from personal gardens.

Tom Hasbrouck: For the heavy lifting and trucking of materials in and out of the site.

Ryan Colpitts Landscaping: For the generous donation of mulch that provided the perfect finishing touch.

Most importantly, a huge shout-out to our Alternative Education students. Their hard work, sweat, and dedication have turned this courtyard into a space the whole school can enjoy.

Stay tuned for more photos of our students in action! 🌿🌻
